GamedayCrew Privacy Policy

GamedayCrew ("the app", "we") is a social sports app for sharing posts, chatting with friends, planning games in huddles, and following sports highlights. This policy describes what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, display name, and password (managed by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password in plain text), plus an optional profile photo and bio.
• Content you create — posts, comments, chat messages, photos, huddles, game invites and RSVPs, reactions, @mentions, and feedback you submit in the app.
• AI feedback and ratings — if you choose to rate a detected key moment or a Sports Assistant answer, we store your rating together with the rated content (for assistant ratings, this includes the question you asked and the answer you rated).
• Social connections — your friends list and the groups and huddles you are a member of.
• Device tokens — a push-notification token for your device so friends' messages, game invites, and mentions can reach you. A copy of recent notifications is kept for your in-app Alerts feed.
• Service data — basic technical records needed to operate features reliably (for example per-day usage counters for AI features and delivery diagnostics for notifications).

The app does not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and does not show ads.

How your information is used

• To provide the app's features: your feed, chats, groups, huddles, search, notifications, and profiles.
• AI features. When you share a YouTube link in a post, its public video content may be analyzed by Google's Vertex AI (Gemini) to detect key moments. When you use the Sports Assistant, your conversation with it is processed by Gemini, which may consult Google Search to answer time-sensitive sports questions. Assistant conversations are not stored on our servers; they live only on your device during the session — unless you rate an answer, in which case that question and answer are saved with your rating.
• To curate sports highlights: the app republishes links to public videos from official sports channels (for example FIFA and FOX Sports); playback is provided by YouTube and subject to YouTube's terms and privacy policy.
• Your uploaded clips. Videos you upload to My Clips are stored privately in your library — no other user can see them, and they never appear in feeds or huddles. When you request key moments or a comparison with a professional reference video, your clip is analyzed by Google's Vertex AI (Gemini) to produce coaching metadata (timestamps, labels, and technique observations) that is stored with your clip. Uploading requires confirming you recorded the video or have permission from the people in it. You can delete a clip at any time, which removes the video, its thumbnail, and all analysis; deleting your account removes your entire library.

Where your data lives

GamedayCrew is built on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging) and Google Cloud, hosted in the United States. Your data is stored and processed by those services on our behalf, under Google's security and privacy commitments.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing.
• We do not use your posts, chats, or photos to train AI models. Ratings and feedback you voluntarily submit may be used to evaluate and improve the accuracy of our AI features.

Who can see your content

Posts are visible to you and your friends. Group and huddle content is visible to members of that group or huddle. Curated highlights are visible to all users. Your name and profile photo are visible to other users in shared spaces and search.

Data retention and deletion

Your content remains until you delete it (for example deleting a post or chat) or your account is removed. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app: Profile → My Profile Details → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent and covers your profile, posts, comments, messages, picks, favorites, votes, feedback, notifications, and uploaded photos. Content reports you filed are retained for moderation and safety records and are never shown to other users. Children

GamedayCrew is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents may use the app's coaching features to get guidance for their own children's sports activities.

Disclaimer

GamedayCrew is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible or liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on its content — including content posted by other users, third-party video content, and AI-generated features such as detected key moments and Sports Assistant answers, which can be inaccurate or incomplete and are provided for general information only. Coaching, training, and game-related suggestions are general guidance, not professional advice; use your own judgment about what is safe and appropriate for you and your family.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; the effective date above will change and material changes will be noted in the app.
